Spring Planting Festival
Join us for the Spring Planting and take part in workshops and demonstrations of Permaculture, Biology and Composting. There will also be Ayruvedic Cooking, Organic Vegetarian meals and a Childrens' Drumming Circle. The spring planting will take place during the May long weekend. Saranagati Village is located south west of Ashcroft. It is located about hours from Vancouver off the Trans-Canada Highway 1. The Village is situated in a most serene valley imbued with devotional energy.

Sustainable Community Conference
If we start building events around this and other events/celebrations, we will start to gather the present and future stakeholders in the project.
We should have a "Sustainable Community Conference" where we would have workshops and such, kind of like Bioneers. At the end of the event, we might even have new tenants, which would make it a "Life-Changing Event" for some of the attendees.
Sustainable Community Conference
I think that the idea of hosting this kind of conference is a great idea! Although I currently live far away on Vancouver island, I'd certainly make every attempt to attend. while I've read quite a lot about sustainable communities, I'm pretty new at implementing these ideas, so such a conference would be very interesting to me. Also, since I'm already in the process of applying for membership in the Saraganati Community, I'd prefer to attend such a conference there rather than in some other place. It would help me to get to know the priorities of that village as opposed to "generic" ideas. It would help me to get to know what residents think about these ideas.
